ABOUT US AND THE CAR
wp510ca68f.png

PRO NATIONAL RACING SERIES was formed in June 2010 by Ronnie Binkley and Eldon Isenberg as a website to promote the Baby Grand Pro Division and showcase the drivers on a weekly basis.  Plans are to run several local and regional races at tracks all across the country under the PRO NATIONAL RACING SERIES name and to change the car name to a PRO NATIONAL CAR.  The goal of the PRO NATIONAL RACING SERIES in addition to promotions and purses is to build car count, reduce the cost of racing, showcase the drivers and their sponsors, fair and equal tech and good hard charging racing that the fans will want to come see.

Membership fees for the 2013 season will be lower for driver and crew members than what we are used to.   There will also be NO entry fees to race and each track will self govern their races.  Receive Baby Grand parts discounts with your membership.

We want to run the series like a racer would want it to be run.  If  PRO NATIONAL RACING SERIES had a tag line it would be .....

THE RACE CAR

A PRO NATIONAL RACING SERIES car is a full bodied stock car weighing 1500 lbs.  It has complete roll cage all the safety features of a NASCAR Sprint Cup Car.  The suspension is fully adjustable with coil over shocks, pan hard bar and front sway bar and a 76” wheelbase.  Using  13” X  7” racing slicks these cars get maximum grip.  Powered by  a Yamaha 1300 cc 4 cylinder 130 hp engine and a 5 speed manual transmission, the horsepower to weight ratio is around 10:1. Speeds on a ½ mile asphalt oval track can get up to 125+ mph. Your spotter better be on the ball as these cars are extremely fast through the corners.  Prices of these cars range from $5000.00 and up race ready with spare parts and can be found on our classified page.  The cost of racing a PRO NATIONAL CAR compared to any other car with this speed and safety design is relatively moderate.  The are an eye catching fan favorite at the tracks.  NASCAR Star Carl Edwards won his first championship in this type of car in 2002.
