Well race fans it was another good night of racing for the Pro National Series in
Jeffersonville, In. at the Sportdrome facility. The track opened and there was plenty
of practice time for all the racers to dial in their cars and then came the time
that everyone was looking forward to “ NASCAR style qualifying” which means the
cars come on to the track- take the green flag, white flag and then the checkered.
When the dust settled Ronnie Binkley set the pole with a time of 15.27, Austin Johnson
in second with 15.42, and Brad Stiffler rounding out third with a 15.63. With the
invert it put Corey Dueser on the Pole. The green flag dropped and going into turn
one, the 22 car went spinning around bringing out the first of 4 cautions. Racing
resumed and the field was settling in and the top cars being 08- Chris Willis, 18-
Brad Stiffler, 25-Ronnie Binkley and the 22- Austin Johnson working his way up to
4th in a matter of a few laps, Ronnie took the lead about mid-way thru the race and
never looked back, taking the checkered flag for the second time this year in the
national series events. The finishing order Binkley- 1st, Stiffler-2nd, Johnson-3rd,
Willis- 4th, Dueser-5th, McClay-6th, Blair-7th. Final National Series race of the
year is at I-44 Speedway in Lebanon, Mo. on Aug. 27th. Hope to see you there for
another exciting evening of racing.
